Malenfant II: "Do You See?"
Authored: November 4, 2017
The stars, they shine so beautifully
Under a clear dark sky
Illuminating the lone tree atop that hill
This world we are on....
The ground that you stand on
Your eyes you see with
The heart that beats from thine chest.
Malenfant....do you hear me?
From the reaches of the Cosmos
Life reaches out to life
Sentience reaches out to sentience
We breathe in the light of the Cosmic Suns
Malenfant...do you feel me?
The great void was entering our Solar System
It was a testament to the deathless and to the solar waves
Human concepts bore it no name
It was not God; it was greater than human belief systems
Could even comprehend
The great void was all encompassing, shattering illusions.
Malenfant....do you see me?
From within your solar system
I am the whiff of wind on your neck
I am the kiss of the sun's rays as you pass by an open window
Time reaches out to the infinite
Life stirs and dimensions quiver
Malenfant....do you smell me?
The stars, they shineth
Under the great void
One by one disappearing
The lone tree starts to fade in the dark
The world we are on trembles
Your eyes see the lights form in concentric shapes
Along the breath of the Great Void.
Malenfant...do you see?!
We came for you
We heard the cry of despair of a race of beings lost
We felt the pain of a race lost in their own darkness
You could not see the light at the end of the tunnel
You could not hear our words of encouragement
You were too busy building weapons
You were far too busy killing each other
Far too busy wounding your world
Malenfant....now is the time to find yourself.
Life reaches out...
Love reaches in...
Malenfant....are you ready?
The Suicide Ides (Part One) Cassiopeia
Authored: March 30, 2019
At the very end, a final vision as eyes close
The soul shall transcend the physical body
Free of the demons of pain that hope could not cure
The soul moves forward into the space between
A photon resonance
Full of memories of what was.
In time he would be forgotten, the very nature of things
Another statistic in human terms
The questions would cease, a funeral would be had
And life would move on.
A shimmering globe resplendent
Journeyed forth, carrying the souls of the departed
A whisper, yet a booming facade between stars
"Malenfant, do you see? The stars dance as a new star is born!"
In time, the graves of the dead will be forgotten
And when you look up, and gaze at the Stars
Another soul shall alight and become a star.
Cassiopeia alight, vast star systems full of evolving life
But between the stars, you can hear the sobs and the whimpers
Entropy....
The Suicide Ides (Two) An Ending
Authored: 31 March 2019
The man had made ready his death bed
He had silenced his cellphone
He poured his favourite red wine into a glass
He turned on his computer, awaiting boot-up
Then turned on his favourite music band
Taking his heart medication pills in one hand
The other his wine glass
He entered his bedroom, his bed ready.
He could hear chaos on the road in front of his unit
But he was done, ready to go
He readied his pillow and sat down on his bed
Tears streamed down his face
If he had turned on the TV he would have seen mayhem
But he chose quietness.
He opened the bottle and, in a palm, took out a dozen
Heart medication tablets.
In one swell swoop he raised his wine glass
Swallowing the medication, an overdose
He fell back on his pillow, placing the blanket around him
He awaited the end.
He bid farewell one last time as his eyes closed
As he fell into a deep unconsciousness
He heard the screams of his fellow humans.
"Malenfant! The stars move! Do you see?!?"
The Greatest Regret
Authored: February 21, 2020
Years ago, a lifetime in the past
Many years have passed, many decisions made
Many regrets felt
I stared out of the vehicle watching trees pass me by
The wind on my face
Regret is an acrid taste and an acidic memory.
The dysfunction within me stopped me from feeling love
I don't think I truly felt like I deserved it
Through the immense pain and hurt
There was somebody
That I cherished
That I cared for
That I think would have been perfect for me.
I'm here at the cliff over a beachfront
Watching the sun rise
Alone
The sun rising
Arisen
Tears fall down my cheeks
Closing my eyes I feel the warmth on my face.
A star explodes
Beautiful radiance
Ensconced
Matter forms light
Light forms atoms
Atoms float across the void
In search for the next conjunction
Love.
And this dysfunction will be a fleeting dream
Memories shall fade
And this greatest regret, shall be no more
I only wanted to see your face
One more time.

A voice....

Swirling dreams, uncertainties manifesting as wisps and colours
Why can’t these fears look like anything I’d recognise? The memory is so vivid it’s nearly blinding. Somehow, even the sounds and sensations come alive.
Come on. Remember when you used to protect me?”
Whenever I went into the darkness, you would follow and tell me I wasn’t alone. You would take my hand, whisper in my ear…I felt so safe. Now is my turn to return the favour
“I can protect you for once”
How are things so damn different now?
Under night skies suffused with pollution, haze and the bright lights of human cities and towns, we toiled, we fought, we made love; we lived. We suffered; we were in agony. The system was breaking and how we didn't see it or do anything about it, would be a topic for another debate. Somewhere. Sometime.
"Oh, Malenfant!" you chided unseen, almost mocking
We watched that fateful night, as night turned into a hellish pink red and one by one the stars disappeared. And we were seeing our own reflections mourn for us, shadows moving away from us. And somewhere very far from us, two massive black holes danced in tandem as they merged.
"Do you see, Malenfant? Do you see with your own eyes?"
The Inner Pattern

Clammy fingers touch your face gently through the fog. “Please don’t let go,” they cry. You know you have to. You know that the only way you’ll ever be happy is to find peace with the past and gather the strength to move onwards. Tears drip slowly down your face, “I promise I won’t forget you,” you say. In time however it’s inevitable. You grow old and memories fade. You forget what it’s like to feel young and free. You no longer believe in the fantastical. A mundane life is what you live, but somehow it feels like home. Each day you repeat the same routine, and you like it. You like the predictability of the weather and the breakfast you eat. You like how each day the channels stay the same and you don’t have to worry. You are different from when you were a child. They would probably be disappointed in you now. But you don’t care, for you are at peace with who you are. You are happy.
Sometimes being alone gives the true meaning of life rather than being with fake people. Never been so good at being alone but now I just enjoy being alone, no more people no more emotion and no more problems.
"Malenfant; You cannot feel true happiness without knowing true sadness you cannot see the light without seeing the darkness."

"Come join me, Malenfant, here at the rooftop, take my extended hand and witness the beginning of something new and the end of something old and worn out. There is no ending to Evolution, but only alterations to the ongoing process. What comes next, is something beautiful."
"Come join me, Malenfant, here at the rooftop, take my extended hand and witness the beginning of something new and the end of something old and worn out. There is no ending to Evolution, but only alterations to the ongoing process. What comes next, is something beautiful."
"The stars fall, Malenfant, do you see them fall from the mainframe? Everything is ending now. This is the end. The end of all feelings, all hopes, all dreams, all disappointments, all happiness, all anger. Everything."
Something That You Feel Will Find Its Own Form

"Bring down the Sky, young Malenfant. Come roar unto us, your pain, your anger and your displaced vengeance. Is Nothingness the less of Substance? We put to an end, the hatreds, the viciousness and the mass death, your race inflicted onto each other. The History of your Species, blood drained into Earth's manifest wounds. So, come, sir, come with your misplaced vengeance."
It was only 'Yesterday', that I could remember the vividness of it all. The bloodshed of a rioting mass of people, absolute viciousness in their eyes. Guns going off, and lifeless eyes staring up at an uncaring sky. The Sky was Falling, this day. And I wondered, unbidden, I wondered if at the end of the Human race, that you were safe and seeing the end as I was seeing it?
"I am an Image. I am an aberration. I am a dream. I am a nightmare. I am that light show when you close your eyes behind darkness. I am the field of stars you see when you have hope. I am ethereal and I am Form. I am invigorated by Will."
Long after we are gone, our voices will reach the civilizations of alien origin. This will be our first Contact. This will also be a Remembrance. Of all that we never would see, feel, or accomplish.
A whisper....
"Malenfant......Come dance with Us, amongst the textures that is the Universe. Will you join us and become a tapestry that will link in with each Star? Or shall you be alone and watch the Rise and Fall and Ascensions of Life transcend the tragedy of your own kind? Come Dance......"

"The Moon, Malenfant. Watch the Moon, it is starting"
My eyes become blurred, the green merges into the blue. A wave of dissonance strikes me. I fall to my knees and I feel it. Feel it through my core. That moment where the life you once led would never be the same again. The lights flicker in the blurry sight...
Have I become a hollow organ?
Something is tugging my soul from this body, forcing it upwards. I see now. The wedges of cold and hot air dancing between the front. Something beyond it moves. A shape, a presence.
The Blue sky becomes Dark. The Moon is wobbling, as if being shaken.
The Light returns, the green unmerges from the blue. My blurred vision returns to normal. I stand groggily, trying to comprehend this feeling of unease and what I witnessed.
That voice?
"It has started."

You held us in your arms and made sure we had all we ever would need. You provided us Nurture and Provision. You gave us all. And we Took from you and took some more and some more after that. We bore into your ground; we poured toxins into your waterways until even life itself died. We build monstrosities that exhumed toxicity into the air and heated your biospheres. You gave us Life and we took you for granted.
Now the Stars are on fire. Now I stand under the last tree on Earth. The end is here. You, Gracious Earth, have suffered enough. Tend to your wounds, in time you will heal.
You shall weep have sorrow in remembrance for who we could have been. But Time and the flow of Life shall bring forth Evolution again.
>WHISPER<
"Malenfant, look up! In the Burning Sky. Look up, Human. Where did the Moon go?"
I look up and where the Moon was supposed to be a darkness of Void. And a dread filled me. Filled me with Fear.
What exists at the end of an event horizon?

Close your eyes
The threshold awaits
I wanted to feel you
But I lost you all that long ago
"Malenfant...Watch the Moon, it begins"
I loved my chosen
But she departed one day
And so I took from her a strand of hair
Perhaps to love her again one day
In the Cloning Vats I watch you form
Will you remember me?
The Void awaits....

We came together in this Somnolence, one last time. Everything was converging now. We could feel the world shudder around us and groans of the wind, as a birthright took place. The awakening of an alien God was at hand.
In that crowd, I found you and we came together with a crash of bodies, your eyes was afraid and moroseness in them. For so long, I had wanted to feel you, touch you, and now at the last stages, I had my wish. My dreams. My wanton abandonment.
I wiped away a tear and we kissed in the midst of the din. And for a brief second, the cacophony around us died down and we were the only ones in this Spiritual Archives. My fingers cupped your cheek, and we clung to each other.
Around us, the shudders morphed into birth pangs. The clouds raced along the night sky. The stars so bright. The Moon was large this night. So large.
We broke our kiss and stared wordlessly into each other's eyes, and we saw the Alien God rising above us.
"I'm scared, Malenfant," you whispered against my ear
"So am I," I answered softly.
The eyes of the Alien God opened, and fire roared from its orifices. Everything began to collapse. And in those last moments of existence in all sentient minds, we heard one word, "Restart"
We held onto each other as our flesh became obsolete and our molecules separated. And in that final second of thought, I thought, "I felt love".

"The Universe is Alive, Malenfant, alive. As your species move to your illogical conclusion, out there, countless civilization are prospering. There is no War, there is no Poverty, there is no Conflict. The Universe has equilibrium. There are no hatreds, no sickness, no darkness."
He closed his eyes and tried to imagine something different, but his mind could not fathom the unimaginable. A trickle of a tear slid down his cheek. If only.
"Malenfant...we do not know what this feeling is what we feel. It is akin to regret. Your kind had so much potential. And we would have welcomed Humanity, but not in this form and shape. We cannot allow the animosity and the darkness to taint the Universe. But we had hoped. We had hoped that your Race could have joined us all."
He closed his eyes again and under a bright darkness, a canvass of stars. And Centrepoint, was a lone tree. And he saw the stars begin to touch the green branches. And it was beautiful, and it was pure grace.
"You asked us, if there was a chance. If there was a chance that Humanity could be spared and rise above? Measure that against every extinct Earth life form, every tree that has been felled, the loss of Earth mass. If you were us, how would you judge Humanity?"
The tree was wondrous against the backdrop of Space on that clear night. A vision to behold. Malenfant then knew. He knew the answer
What he would answer with, would change everything, forever.
But as he spoke, a voice in his head, familiar, shushed him
"It begins, Malenfant. Look to the Stars, look closely...."
The silence of the Andromeda Galaxy had ended.
The Sound of Lights When Dim
Authored: September 23, 2022
"We are broken souls, adrift in this parched sea yearning for Love. We've been left abandoned by the dreams and hopes, the grey forms of waves full of regret and forlorn dreams turned into nightmares. Are we flickers of yearning at the peripheries? The Lights are dimming. And the dance floor of life is slowly darkening. But I loved you, I truly did. In those days, the lights were radiant. And the seas were docile. And we swam in the glory of our adorations."
The Warm Feel of September
"The fireflies dance tonight. And I think of you. I remember. When times were different, when we were Aligned. But time marches on and our paths diverged. Taken different routes along a world falling apart. But this night, the warm feel, makes me remember. I watch the Moon rise over fiery flames. It's hot out tonight. And I wonder what you are doing tonight. I wonder if you have someone to hold onto, as the wave of Destruction moves across our globe. It's strangely comforting knowing that in these final hours, I thought of you."
On The Beach
"We are strangers met on this Beach at the very End. Around us a flock of people converging, hugging, crying, feeling. Raw emotions were pivotal even as we saw the crest of the Wave. We heard the short waves break on the sand and it was comforting that somehow maybe, something would go on, after us. Night was succumbing to the reddening crimson light of the Destruction Wave. Maybe this was the true form of an angry and fed-up God?
"Malenfant...."
Your hand intertwined with mine. And I peered at you from my side. And everything was forgotten. I brought you into my embrace and we melted together. Every argument, every fight and every bad word disappeared. We kissed.
On this Beach, we clung, and we awaited the Wave. Coming ever closer. Ever. Closer.

"It was always destined to be this way. The dream of the dysfunction is always a dream of something better. Away from the trauma, away from the malaise and away from the ever closing in of entropy."
I looked up into the clear bright night, the sky filled with a canvas of stars. And for a mere second, I wondered if some other intelligence was looking up at his own sky and wondered, like I wondered now?
"The Stars shine, Malenfant. They know what is coming and they will bear witness to the release of Earth. Love could not find a way through. There was just too much pain, too much misery, too much tomfoolery. The alleyways were filled with the emptiness of the homeless, the sidewalks full of people off them minds with drugs escaping a reality that became a boar constrictor."
Closing my eyes, I heard the rush and pounding of the waves against the rockface. And an image of you. Your smile, your face, everything, for a moment became a radiance.
"Watch Malenfant, the Stars, they dance now..."
Opening my eyes, I witnessed the Starfield change and merge and demerge. And all of a sudden, the stars became a map of Life. Sure, Earth would rid herself of us, but LIFE was flowing through the many stars and planets. That made me happy.
"At the end of the Ocean, Malenfant, your race hoped there'd be more time. But time is finite. But Life reaches out to Life and Love reaches out to Love. Your atoms, your molecules will escape Earth and float infinitely and eternally. Time will no longer be required. For in this state, the memory of Humanity will shape the coming Ascension."
