I reached out to the different Gods, and they remained silent
From afar and near, I have watched the hate of humanity fester
Famine, wars, poverty, conflicts, global entropy 
The words of "holy" books desecrated and manipulated
Used by men of faith to declare wars upon others. 

I have prayed and listened with my heart and mind
Silence answers my pleas
I was once a faithful servant of thee
Until the silence became the answer, the clarity. 

Too much hypocrisy has made me aware of the frivolity 
I turned my back on faith and began to see morals differently
That each of us are responsible of shaping our environment
Religion is coopted for the manipulations of ideological miscreants. 

I still believe in a higher "power" that is nameless and Universal
The Universe did not simply start by itself - there was a spark
The answer to divinity is not in human created fairy tales 
We may never find out the truth
But this answer is so far removed from what we think we know.
