Before the end comes, may I have my say?
Let me speak from the heart
Allow me to shed my last tear
And speak words before Silence takes it all.

Nostalgia, is a damn thing, isn't it?
We hold onto things that are dear to us
We keep those things that speak to our heart of hearts
Why then do we hurt each other?

Sentiments hold us like anchors
In an ever-changing world
We cling to those things that bear our soul
Why then do we fear so much?

The end is coming to all things and for us
I wonder if in the afterlife I could bring it all
Everything that I held dear, all those special items
Why then do we worry so much?

I remember the beautiful sunsets
And those sunrises and everything in between
Nostalgia, is a damn thing, isn't it?
The anchors are lifting into the skies
The end is coming to all things
And us.
