We've drifted so far apart
Watched a million Stars burn into existence 
Reveled in the formation of new Solar Systems
We witnessed a blooming of light from darkness 
Hearing the cacophony of signals and radiation waves.

Our embers drift for eternity through the Void
Our memories scattered far from Home 
Vagrant thoughts pervade the periphery
Of lush meadows and deep forests.

Our journey takes us into the deep reaches of Space 
Time no longer a factor
Vespers of a time in the past
When we ran through the Greenery. 

I remember loving you, loving Life
What is this concept of a Home? 
Will I breathe again, taking in deep breaths of air?
Will I be able to walk on the ground of verdant lushness?

We are a long way from home
But mayhap we can create a new home
Where our embers will reincarnate into a new form
So, that again, I can hold you tight 
So, that again, I could love you again.
