(Disillusion)

Authored: June 8, 2024

Barren shores witness another sunrise
Pale skies bear down with pressure
The muted colours belie a mourning veil
The world is sick.

The Sun floats up into the sky
Basking upon azure ocean wisps
Clogged with millions of floating fish
The world is dying.

Great cities of Man, beat on
As birds hit the grounds of cities, death permeates
The men look to the sky
Rumbles as acid rain falls
The world is in entropy.

We're we failures at discovering we could not save ourselves.
The last of the Ice melted and coastal cities submerged
The beginnings of a runaway greenhouse effect
The World had awoken from its Illusion.
