"And here I stand," she said.
"Here you stand," the Forgotten God replied.
"The last human being that will ever exist."
"Yes, you are, my dear, but it must be so."
"I agree, but I've always wondered, why must humanity vanish?"
"As things come and go," said the Mighty Skeleton, "humanity can't stay forever; the player must take off the stage. Humanity had the chance to prove its value. I didn't judge it, but it had the chance to show the good it could do. Even though humanity could produce mighty art, the hate and destruction it brought upon this world have been unbearable." The god was stern in his words, but fair in his judgment.
"But you, little one, you improved humanity's image in its last breaths, and I'm not sad that you will leave and take the rest of humanity with you. You brought some good to this world; you allowed it to begin on its long Healing Path. Now humanity will be gone with this last sunset. Life will heal, and Peace will come again. I wish you good fortune for the hours to come, as you deserve it. Rest, my dear, I love you as I loved the first human I created."
