On This Road Home (Lament)

Authored: November 27, 2023

Left to rust and rot
A pale blue haze takes over the world
This hymn for the greatest and last Generation
An illusion of order
Behind a Maelstrom of chaos.

On this road home,
The world around me, on floating, lullaby chimes
It seemed like the haze was the dust of the Universe
Sent down on this last dawn.

The wind whispered in verses;
A lament
A Dividing Line
One does not give up until the last breath
What if the end of the world
Was a beautiful melody?
Fragile.

On this road home, I come to my street
The end of the ocean
I walked through my childhood town
A lament
In those hours, redemption
We lost the World.

But I have found myself.
What is Desire in a world empty of people?
I enter my place, find it spotless
Endure
Self
At the end of the road
Home.

A lament.
