Is the past that important?
Different people will answer differently.
Even as we speak.
Farewells are happening throughout the Universe.
The grief that we share is real.
But there's nothing special about it.
Remember that.
It might help you focus on the here and now.
When they had woke up, bleary from flashes of reds and pinks and that tiny touch of silver, they had come face to face with them.
A pair of strangers who had embodied the spirit of trailblazing, and no sooner, a family that had taken them in.
They dare not question it, even though they wanted to. The questions of the typical "why's and then no sooner, "are you sure?" had crossed their mind before but like they said, they didn't dare.
It had been fun, that was true. Those words though sounded like it echoed from a bittersweet dream had rung true. It was fun, they had experienced joy from their adventures with others and through the meeting of others.
Yet, there are times where they lingered by the train windows. Sitting on the couch where it was dead at night, where the stars stretched out before them, and the milky way intersected through the vast universe.
They thought, how beautiful it was for them to be alive. They don't acknowledge the somewhat nagging feeling, that soft unheard voice echoing "at what cost?".
Like tonight, where his words rang inside their mind. Even as we speak, farewells are happening throughout the universe. He said and they couldn't help but agree with that statement.
