“Collapse Ode” (Prose)

Authored: July 25, 2023

Like I once was a tree with so many leaves.
Now it's the end of seasons and everyone has left
Winter is no more, reminisce
No matter now, as the entropy takes hold
It always is the same.

Darkness will engulf the sky, and all the misery of this place will be washed away after all the veils were lifted from the blind eyes of oblivious gluttony.

That whisper in the coursing winds.

"Your kind have struggled and fell short. Too many souls filled with pain from being forgotten. Too many did not heed the signs. This fog runs far, the Earth blows near. Embraced through the darkness, she'll be held. Humanity is not much more than a lived memory. Your story has closed, but still, we will remember."
