Untitled Poem

Authored: July 9, 2022

On this shoreline, under grey skies
The wind sings a chorus
The waves pound the shore
This day, the sea was emotional
In mourning from loss and memories
Who would swim its waters again?
Who would tend to its many needs?
Tears from heaven
Join in the agonies of the waves
The wind moans and groans
Under grey skies
Who but the oceans will remember?
The laughter
The splashes
The motors
The joy?
