This is Not Enough (Prose)

“The nobility of Loneliness is not something akin to absence of love. I think the meanings have been transmuted and lost. You could be with family or a significant other and still feel loneliness. You could feel the pangs of the lost and the simple-minded nature of dis-ease.

“You have lost your way. This is not Enough. Question everything, the meaning of life? The principles you proport to follow. The words that affect you and weigh you down. Love isn’t in the blood nor is it in the air. You want to know the truth of Loneliness? It is in the form of the daily suicides that take place. It is in the anxiousness and depression many feel. This is not enough!

“Interconnectedness is not the salve of Loneliness. Imagine being in a swarm of people and still feeling alone? You walk past people each day and each person have their own story to tell, each have their demons they battle, and each have battled the inner failures. It’s not about an absence of love; Loneliness does not require love or the absence of it.

“Think of a Human as a single flower. Devoid of light, happiness, functionality, it will wilt and suffer and even die. That is Loneliness. The sum totals.

“This is not enough, by a long shot.”
