Did we yearn for something more?
Did we seek for something different?
We've made Decisions in haste
Lost people who maybe could've made us better people
Or kept people who were destructive storms in our lives.

Have you ever watched specks of dust in a sunbeam?
In silence, pondering the journeys of that dust particle?
Close your eyes for we live only once
We are atoms bandied together by evolutions handy work
But so, oh so imperfect.

For a minor reflection, oh beautiful one,
Did we want more than we should have had?
Did we love each other with the desire we could have had?
Or were we too imperfect?

Were we broken souls, destined to find fleeting Love?
Or Broken dysfunctional desire and lust than we believed was love?
I don't know in the scheme of things
But yeah, I think I knew Love.

I wonder if we will ever become that sunbeam?
To feel again in the wonder of light?
