I imagine that once we are gone, the Universe will remember us
Molecules will escape into Space
And retain who we once were
We will journey between the Stars
All that will cease
But memories abide.
Like Honey from the Branch, that last tree on Earth
Will be Sweet and Tender
Love will flow and remember
There was just enough to remember.
Our molecules will sweep into a burgeoning new star-system
Evolution will begin a new
Hopefully that Honey from the Branch
Those memories of yonder
Will next time bring forth a better version of ourselves.
All that will cease
But there's no end but only beginnings
And under a new Sun, on a new Earth
Our molecules will mix with something new
We will somehow survive
And with sentient eyes under a new tree
Drink of the honey from the branch.
And wonder....
And love....
And remember in dreams of another life
Another time
Another....
All that will cease, beloved
The old must make way for the new
Love must reset and resolve
There will come better times
But we must change
Hope in the next times
We will do better.
