n this moments, a fleeting wonder
I feel the cool waters slide around my feet
Looking out unto a world of water
I cough, and this induces blood
I'm sick, sick in body
This virus has crippled my lungs
But I made it
Alone.

I pondered my life, echoes of happiness and sadness
The drums beat in my head
Your voice infiltrates my mind
I'm about to see you again
I have come to terms with it all
All this suffering
All this pain.

I watched all that I love pass away
Here I stand alone
Watching the waves roll in
Somehow my blood makes symmetry with the salt water.

In those moments alone
We are not what we say we are
I start to walk into the water
At Dusk, everything seems beautiful.

I am at peace
Take me somewhere nice
Where I will feel you again
And I can see you again
Submerge me.

I move and let the currents take hold....
An image as I close my eyes....
Something in the skies above
I feel my heartbeat
And open my eyes under water
Seeing you again
I smile....
