I reached across to where you should be, pressed against my frame; the lingering smell of your hair so intoxicating. A scent I yearned for, a narcotic only for my senses.
I reached across to trace my fingers along your perfectly sculpted but somewhat frail architecture. I don't think you will ever fathom how much protection you gave to me, despite questioning your own strength.
I reached across to pull you closer to me, to wrap my arm around you as we were nestled in a perfect warmth; away from everyone else. The linen caressing both of us in this secret; silent place.
I reached across, simply to whisper in your ear, captivated by the scent only you could ever elevate my soul with.
"Stay...just a little while longer"
I reached across, to find an empty place. A pillowcase drenched in you.
I reached across
Wild without you.
