You wanted to blame for what happened;
On anyone but us
But it was us, you and I, each of us
That bloody ruined it
This world didn't turn to shit by chance
It was us, humans
Our belief in some imaginary god/s
Our voting in lunatics
Rubbishing our environment
It was our own wanton disregard.

Our belief that by electing politicians
We'd have a golden age
By believing personality politics would work
Both Left and Right wings corrupted
We're now in a plethora of Despotism
Let me whisper the unfathomable truth
God is dead and we Humans killed God.

It was our fault
It was my fault, your fault
Nothing can save us now
You can try to ignore the reality
But each day draws us closer
To our End.
