“We Watched Waves Break Over Weathered Rock under grey lit Skies”

Authored: October 29, 2019

I wanted to feel
Here, at the end point of it all
I wanted to see
With eyes wide open
Occulent prisms alight from eyes worn with time
Somewhere my words left me
Wordlessly mired in transposed shifting sands
I sat by you silently
As we watched waves break upon weathered rock
I dared not touch you
I so wanted to.

Under greylit skies I transpose a question
Wordlessly the waves are a beacon
Sounds aspire to be heard
We dance to the feeling
We dance until morning comes
Grey lit skies beckon and harken.

I wanted to feel
There, the waves crescendo against weathered rock
I
Wanted
To
Be.

Watch with me
I offered my hand
You looked at me
I poured my heart into you. To the very last drop my eyes produced.
But you kicked me down, you kicked me down, you kicked me down.
We sit resolute.... under grey lit skies.
