All these games we play
The innuendo, the stroking of egos
The gossiping lips and looks of askance
The petty revenge, the hurt of betrayal
They are not borne of Love
Seeking the drama of a reality different to yours
The pain they feel makes you judge them.
When we are not competing against each other
We see each other as equals in an untamed world
We commit ourselves to toxicity and yet there's a release
Stagnant actions led to our pain.
Those few of us, on unchartered territory
Want to seek the beautiful segments
To compose a stream of words leading to poetic melodies
We harbour secrets, left tantalizingly close
Upon seas of maelstrom, caged in our finest cells.
If for a moment, we let go of the bars, and fall away
Letting it all strip from us
Laid bare
No more games, no more parlance
Just you and I, laid bare to just be
All these games, they vanish
Let's save ourselves the greater harshness
The ego broken down.
We needed to see
Before the fall
What truly could have been
A nascent inhale
A tremendous exhale
Upon a human-scape of difference
Juggernauts.
We sail the inner worlds
Lost, adrift
Mere children of the oceans of stars
Pain now breaks down
Into a smile
Bewildered, the mule before Foundation
Coalescing purpose, opined with experience.
We wanted to see
We wanted to know
When there's no Ego
The mind awakes from slumber
A new realm awaits....
