Pretend

Pretend
You were like the others
Your fingers scarred me
Memories like ice carved in stone
Your eyes, I still dream of them.

A dream,
Ordained in vague memories
Your touch across my flesh
I pulled you to me
Flesh upon flesh
Lost in you.

You became someone to me
Memories became stories
And stories became poems
A holy vessel, in my mind.

I still feel you
In dreams, in situ
My lips trace your contours
The rain washes all away
Our sins
Our troubles
Washes it clean.

Pretend
Your fingers trace along my body
Scarring me
Like stone in ice
Your eyes, they bore into me.

Kiss me
Taste you
Fire and ice
You float away in my mind
Someone fading into obscurity
Like waves tracing back from sand.

A dream
Feel you on my body
A memory
Felt your lips upon mine
A fade out
Dream....
