Those lost times
Those forgotten realms
These memories of a time ago
I saw you for a final time, spoke to you
Parted on bad terms
Time relents one last go
And as clouds we move away forever.

Saw you dancing by yourself to your own music
Suddenly I knew
The light within me had existed no more
The dawn is coming
As you yearn for the darkness.

I will remember you as you have a piece of my heart
But even now your face fades from my mind's view
It's over, we're done.

I think I loved a ghost
Never truly knew the real you
You kept that from me
Watched you dance
And felt how sad you were
Alone.

As clouds we move away forever
Older than I, you will move ahead somewhere
And I will be behind, watching age take us all
I don't have regret any more
Smiling wanly, I turn and head off
