The White….

Authored: March 8, 2019

I cannot tell the days apart
Stuck here, adrift in the snow
Your footprints have long since faded
But memory is as long as eternity
And I conjure you up, over and over again.

A great fool, I had been
The snow is an absolver
Of injustices, of mayhaps, in the past
The trees on the horizon, bare with leaves
Crusted with snow, the white....

Change is coming, seasons turn
I will no longer be prisoner
But I wonder, will I remember you in time?
Under this cold chrome casted sky
Will you speak my name again?

The great white....
