How to Disappear

Authored: March 16, 2019

This Hate strangulates us
So much beauty blinded by dark thoughts and visions
We're clutching at each other's throats
Not hearing one another speak
Ideology askew, killing us all slowly, one by one
Under this grey cast chromed sky
This afternoon, I wanted to disappear.

This warped hatred within our veins
More plentiful than love around us
Yet you don't see trees going to war with each other
Or birds battling it out dueling to the death
We're destroying ourselves.

Moonlight Blues, watching the water surface ripple
I see faces of ghost glisten and watch from beyond
Terror is a human construct
Hate is a human abode
We clutch at each other, seeking our point across
There's something seriously wrong here.

How to disappear, just vanish from this painful world
Seek release, step into the water
It's all different underneath; in a different world
A different set of beliefs, prisms of values
We'll learn that hate was a dream
Love was the absolution.
