I watched you fly away from me, letting you go
You had things you wanted to do someday
And I could see how you yearned to start the journey
I didn't want to let you down
I couldn't stand by and be your reason for misery
I watched you fly away, and I smiled for you.

I will always remember you, and mayhaps you will remember me in time
Don't stop reaching for your dreams
I'll become some adjunct in time, a fleeting memory
You can't live at the mercy of your perfect goal
Go figure it out and dream big.

But your dreams didn't have to be anchored in reality
Sometimes it's better they aren't
Dream big, dream well and be well.
