I just wanted to make you something beautiful
But darkness blinded the light
A hundred birds flew away into the sky
I had fallen in love with falseness
And in the end, still I struggle
Only in collapse can the victim find themselves
When everything around them falls to pieces
Only then can recovery begin.
I have suffered and I have paid a price
Speaking with many victims, they fail to believe in love
How can love exist when it was used as a weapon?
We who hold empathy, try to understand
What has just happened.
A burning torch on a beach side
A dusk, a painted sky as the sun descends
It's beautiful.
Looking out and beyond
The collapsed victim understands being alone
The very definition of loneliness
Tainted by a depression and anxiety
Remembering of everything, a curse.
I just wanted to make you something beautiful
But all you have me was pain
I have suffered and I have paid a price
You are without substance
Blowing out the torch
I walk away from the beach
Alone.
