Human nature vs human progress
Above and below, below and beyond
This cannot continue indefinitely
Infinite waves upon a shoreline
The sun beckons forth each sunrise
This existence comes at a cost
This rubicon, this cerulean
All four waves
Between each is a stepping stone
Count your life, by breaths and chances
The sun burns bright as it rises
Above and beyond
Human eyes reach for the stars
Hands reach out into the infinite
Count the stars, i dare you
Breath deep, you do not want to lose
All four waves
Infinite in scope, measured by existentialism
This Rubicon, this cerulean
