Shall I reach my hand out to you
Take mine in yours
Let us walk together
Down this winding path in the forest.

Tell the truth that both our hearts yearn to tell
Looking into your eyes
At the stroke of midnight
I kissed you
I felt your lips as you dematerialised and vanished.

Shall we?
On this cliff face, feeling the cool wind
Upon our faces, a summery evening
This new years eve
Turning to you, a stolen kiss, a smile unbidden.

Shall we?
Awaken on New Year's Day
A new year, laden with promise
You smiled at me
Awoke my spirit of hope for another year
