You promised to love
Yet I didn't realise how broken you were
So, I fell in love with the construct
Didn't realise the mask you wore
Your promise to share our lives
Your heart with mine
Your dreams with mine.... ours
A blur, a fake mirage.

2 minutes of silence ensures
I hear breathing
Looking towards you, a shadow ensnares me
Your promises were like napalm
But I for so long lived off them
Co-dependent.

The Dream of the stars
You say you love me
You say you are proud of me
Your words mean nothing
Nothing, absolutely nothing.

Rainbow cuts the sky
Colours against the grey
Rain falls...napalm
An idea within a sad trip
I sail no more
Remaining distant, you are a thunderstorm
I don't want to be in ever again.

Overcame obstacles
Lamented you as a stranger
You promised to Love
But you were never loved
so how could you know what love was?
