The Conversation; The Tragedian

Authored: June 10, 2017

I asked you and you answered
Distant streetlights
Flicker
Your answer dissolved into tears
Falling
Ever falling.

I returned to the tragedian plethora of Second Life
And saw you logged on and we spoke
You appeared happy and content
Telling me you and him were meeting in the coming week.

Fractures appear
It is raining
Sounds on the roof
Falling
Ever falling
Like tears.

I asked you why we didn't meet
You said it was not ever going to become real
A shattered memory of 5 years
Your answer illuminated
In the flickers of fantasy.

I have failed in every relationship I have been involved in
I am my own tragedy
There were opportunities
Distant streetlights
Flicker
Others happiness dissolve with my own understanding
Fractures appear
Falling
Ever Falling.

You kiss my cheek
Then fade away.

It is a myth that there is someone for you and I
Cast away that anchor
Fall away with me, tragedian
Falling
Every falling....
