In Solitary, Disjoined

Authored: June 16, 2017

Watch the fronds disentangle from the flower
A fading light as oceans darken
Graceless beauty disjointed and absolved
Alone, a beckoning destruction of soul
It fades, fading absolution, constructs dissolve.

Under the Sycamore tree I lie
Watching the Sun set
And ending, synapses fire aloof.

A darkness envelopes me
Your love was a masquerade
A blanket of unfathomable bleakness.

This sickness that rages across my body
Infects my mind and soul
Raging wars between darkness and light
I am alone
Disjoined
In solitary
Recompense.

I cannot be a callous human and sate my hunger on another
There's too much pain already
The Narcissist has changed me and has destroyed me
The fields of my mind have been bombed mercilessly
Seeds sprouted that were then cut down with scorn.

Now I live with a disease of body and mind
A lifelong penance.

Under this Sycamore tree I lie
Watching the Sun set
Disjoined
In solitary
A fading absolution.
As the mind oceans darken.
