Where were you? Where was I?
You spoke of Soul Mates and Twin Flames
Mysticism and spirituality you spoke in sweet nothings
But do you remember that time.
I came to your place, and we went to the park
Under a warm late Winters afternoon
I reached out to you, and you flinched away
What started coming out of your mouth
Were sharp daggers that made deep wounds
I looked into your eyes and all I saw was malice
Over a cold shapeless exterior.
The sun turned cold on me
And my soul screamed out silently
No More! No More!
Where were you? Where was I?
As the world turned another orbit
And I waited for you by the fountain
The wind was cold and the water icy
This could not be love. Could it?
Do you remember.
I met you at a local pub
And over dinner you shared that you met up with a man who fancied you
The food became shards, and I was gripped with paralysis
You spoke about how the conversation turned sexual
But nothing happened Petar, you said
You said how he propositioned you
And said you could do better....
But nothing happened, you said....
Who are you? Who did I fall in love with?
I waited at the fountain, but the wind turned cold
And it reminded me that I was simply an item for you
You took from me, all that you could take.
I finally left realising that there was nobility
In Loneliness.
Do you remember.
Telling me that your sister called me a Sociopath
And you watched my face fall, and I questioned
If someone who loves, you
What are they saying about you behind your back?
You painted me as the devil, and it was then easy
To move on.
One day you will come to the fountain
In time
As a collapsed shell
But I will not be there
Who are you? You will ask yourself in the mirror
Silence
You will see me in your dreams
Recovered. No more your victim.
No More! No More!
