I saw you alone on the beach looking out upon the waves
You cast a lonely scene as the winds howled and blew a gale
I tasted the salty musk of the air
And I wanted to be nowhere else.
You see, I bled for you, I cast asunder my soul for you
Now at the near end of your life you regret
I saw your hands move across your eyes
As if wiping them
I slowly walked down those steps onto the beach.
The sound of the wind was a weeping howl
At the very end you saw darkness
And into the horizon dark clouds were coming closer
Closing in on you...on us...on you...on us...on you.
Whiplash from the wind
A salty reminder of past misdeeds
I move closer to you
I hear you weeping
Not because you are sorry for hurting people
But because your beauty has faded.
You see, I bled for you, you took my soul and derode it
You turned to me and your tears were beautiful
You reached out your hands to me
As the Dark clouds amassed
I shook my head and pointed out to the ocean
The thunder rumbled; the bolts were awe-shattering.
We were on the beach
You wept because I was there for your end
I wept because the pieces of my soul
We're reintegrating.
The wind was an epiphany, a gale of song
We wept at the shoreline, and I watched
As you walked into the waves
You slowly disappeared into the grey waters
As the dark clouds amassed.
I am on my knees
Arms outstretched
The wind surrounds me
I hear the song in the win
And I bid you luck on your next life
I wept no more.
