“So, life went on and we carried on. Until the moment came when we asked ourselves”

Authored: December 30, 2016

Anew, the leaves blossom on cold branches
The shafts of sunlight bring warmth to where coldness once was
Another year passes by
Each day the fading memories lose clarity
I stood on the weir overlooking the river
Under a cloudy sky, felt raindrops on my face.

So, life went on and I carried on
Somewhere you carried on as well.

Fading memories succumb to new memories
Or of past memories before you
Another year passes by
Tomorrow is the beginning of a new year
I stood on the sand overlooking the river
Under a cloudy sky and watched raindrops on the river's surface.

So, life carried on and we carried on.
Until the moment came when we asked ourselves....

We are not perfect....

Can I find real love? Here, now?
Can the tedious lift shift up
And turn into music that starts
A glare in the eyes and always into a dance slowly
Getting more passionate as the music goes by?
Can I both be strong and weak at the same time?
For someone who I wish the best of life for
Can it be real?
Can it be?

So, life went on and we carried on. Until the moment came when we asked ourselves....
