I long for politicians who are not warmongers
I long for world leaders who do not beat the drums of war
I long for a time that instead of a marathon 10 hours of talking about bombings and getting approval to go to 'war'
That politicians argue positively for 10 hours on the effects that Pollution is having on our world
And I await the day when we have more Corbyn type of men and women in parliament
Who ask the questions, and who profits from war?
Who asks the questions, who funds and who armed ISIL initially
I long for a new paradigm.
And through all this, nature abides
It watches us, the mass of humanity and it abides its time.
We are in need of guidance, our human species is sick
Our Gods are not make-believe beings
But our gods are what we go to war over
Oil and money, money and oil,
We line the pockets of military armament companies
That box that reports 'news', is simply a vile propagandist
"You will think our way, or we will brand you a traitor, a coward".
And through all this, the waters flow down the streams
It watches us, the mass of humanity as we pollute it.
I long for a time when we do not need any Gods
And realise the faith we require is within us, all around us.
We need to experience the greatest shock, an event to
Catapult, shock us, change our way of thinking.
And that time comes
Whether it is when we no longer can breathe this air any longer
Or when the power goes out
Or when those mushroom clouds of death dance in the skies above us
Or when we learn we are not alone in this universe
Or when we realise we are the air, we are the water, we are part of this planet...before it is too late.
And through all this, nature abides
It needs no politics or religion, it is a biomass, a sentience
It watches us, the mass of humanity
It abides its time.
Time is ticking, it is counting down
To the moment, that is what we make of it.
