Adrift in a myriad of lights and forms
Following the contextualised patterns of an urban environment
Let go, cast drifting down the many channels that is humanity
All around you, shapes shift and appear and dissolve
As if it is all a carousel.

Travelling the train home one night
I saw many couples in loving embrace
The touches of affection, the smiles of knowing
Fingers stroking faces, kisses of longing
In that brief instant, it all becomes clear
So beautiful was that instant, so infectious.

The stars are so beautiful above us
The moon paints a tantalising picture
We battle the stretches between loneliness and happiness
In the streets of this urban setting
A million stories play out.

And for one brilliant radiant second,
The very epitome of Love is felt
Like a beating heart,
It cannot be contained....
