The city lays wasted
Destroyed from within like a cancerous disease
Ruin is everywhere, the alleyways, the streets, the houses
And each wallet that is opened bleeds the blood of corruption and waste
The city has come to its demise.
The factories churn their poison into the air
For Greed was the corporation's creed
Till from within the rot transcended
In a terminal flatline.
The streets are filled with poison
An aftermath of systems breaking down
The cleaners are nowhere to be seen
There is destruction of vital services
The heartbeat throbs no more for this city.
And did I not tell you, this would happen
And did I not show you the science and the numbers
But you wanted to worship the green backs in your wallet
Until each paper money turned to blood
And did I not warn you
But it was too late.
The city lays wasted, forever more.
