Into the end we flowed
As the innocent eyes of the child watched
We kill each other sometimes simply for sport
And then we wonder why we are alone in this Universe.
Would you want to meet a race so barbaric as ours?
Imagine a humanity such as us unleashed now on a uninformed Universe?
Would we start to de-foul every planet we landed on
Killing each life-form we met?
So, I imagine this in my daily thoughts as I look into dark skies
At the vagaries of uncountable stars with planets around them
I imagine our Earth surrounded by invisible alien vessels
Unseen to our satellites and they watch us
They keep us in a Stasis
They see our needless wars, needless pain inflicted
They see our cruelty and how we are so painfully stubborn at times
And they say, "This race for now must be Quarantined".
Into the never-ending vortex we flowed
As the once innocent eyes of the child wells up with tears
Through her eyes we see forms of the alien ships
As she reaches out to the unknowing future.
We as a Race have long to go, to learn.
Only when we stop raping our planet, killing each other
Maybe then these alien ships will appear
Maybe then our Gods of our Bibles will return
Or maybe we will be left alone to contemplate the stupidity of our past.
Into the end we flowed
Where our innocence was forever stripped
And we were cast asunder a sleepless Stasis.
