You gain an understanding from moments of clarity
Your mind hopes and yet the firm reality is that we are Human
At the end of a relationship, the hurt manifests
Confronting you with your demons of the past
Loneliness and desolation come and yet they are your old friends
For each of us have been lonely and longing for connection at one time or another.
We can only try to bring our hearts forth and hope that in return.
We will be loved and cherished.
For love is just that, it is a circle, of giving and taking and then giving again
Yet we long for companionship and we yearn for love
Ancient wisdom dictates that Love is all encompassing
And it is and was.
Yet at the End, we are left in a landscape of forlorn winterscape
The leaves have left the trees, the branches are cold from the frost
And the wind is cold and biting
Desirata est, Desirata.
But I know that Love will come again and reheat the land
New leaves will flourish in these branches
The sun will come out
And mayhap the next time, Love will take hold
And you and I will take root, together.
